Reset a forgotten password

Forgot your password? Request a reset link by email, choose a new password within an hour, then sign in again. Here is how it works.

Request a reset link from the sign-in page and choose a new password within an hour.

Reset it

  1. On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password?
  2. Enter the email of your account and complete the check.
  3. Open the email and press Choose a new password. The link works for one hour.
  4. Enter a new password of at least 10 characters and sign in with it.

For your privacy we always say a link is on its way, whether or not an account uses that email.

No email?

  • Check spam and promotions folders.
  • Make sure you used the email your account is registered with.
  • Wait a few minutes before asking again: only a few reset requests per hour are allowed.

Ask for a new one. A link works once and only for an hour.

Change your password while signed in

Open Account, enter your current password and the new one under Change password. Your other devices are signed out.

If you did not ask for a reset, ignore the email; your password stays the same. If it keeps happening, protect the account with two-factor sign-in.
