Why some items are not accepted

Some items show as Not accepted on the checkout. The usual reasons, why we cannot take them and what you can do instead.

Updated · SkinPlata team

Items marked Not accepted cannot be used for this payment. You can still pick any other item in your inventory.

Common reasons

  • No reliable price. We only accept items with a steady market price, so the value you see is fair. Rare or very new items may not have one yet.
  • Very low value. Items worth only a few cents are usually not accepted.
  • Not tradable right now. Items Steam has locked after a recent purchase or trade cannot be traded yet.
  • Not in demand. Some items, cases or graffiti cannot be resold, so they cannot be taken as payment.

The list of accepted items changes with the market, so an item not accepted today may be accepted later.

"Pick items worth at least…" or "at most…"

The shop can set a smallest and largest amount for a payment. Add or remove items until the total is in that range.

Prices look different from elsewhere

Values are based on current market prices and can differ from what a single listing shows on another site. You see the total before you send anything.

Questions about what the shop credits you for your items go to the shop, see Check a payment and who to contact.
