Every payment comes with a hosted checkout page. Link to it, open it in a pop-up or put it in an iframe on your site; the customer experience is the same.
What the customer does
- Pastes their Steam trade link.
- Picks items from their inventory. Items we cannot take are marked Not accepted.
- Accepts one trade offer in Steam. The page updates by itself.
The checkout shows the payment ID, so customers can look it up later on the find a payment page.
Embedding
Every payment has a checkout address and an embed version of it; the API returns both. Put the embed address in an iframe, or open the checkout in a pop-up. The checkout tells your page about every status change, which is handy for your own screen, but credit orders from the webhook. Examples are in the API reference.
Back to your site
Set a success return URL and a failure return URL in your project settings (or per payment in the API). The Back to button on the checkout uses them.
Currencies
The checkout can show values in USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, BRL, CNY, MXN, RUB, UAH, KZT, ARS, CLP, PEN or COP. Set a default currency shown per project, or choose one per payment. Your balance is always kept in US dollars.
Languages
The checkout speaks eight languages and follows the customer's browser; they can switch with the language picker.
