Find your Steam trade link

Where to find your Steam trade link (trade URL) on desktop or in the Steam app, what it looks like and what to do when Steam says it is invalid.

Updated · SkinPlata team

Your trade link lets someone send you a trade offer without being Steam friends. You find it in your Steam inventory settings.

On a computer or in a browser

  1. Open Steam and go to Inventory.
  2. Choose Trade Offers, then Who can send me Trade Offers?
  3. Under Third-Party Sites, copy the Trade URL.

You can also open your trade offer settings on Steam directly after signing in.

In the Steam Mobile app

Open the menu, go to your Inventory, then Trade Offers and Who can send me Trade Offers? to copy the same link.

What it looks like

It starts with https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/ and contains your partner number and a token. Paste the whole link.

  • You may have copied your profile link instead. Copy the Trade URL as above.
  • The link must be complete, without spaces at the start or end.

Pressing Create new URL on Steam makes your old link stop working. Use the new one at checkout.

Next: make sure your inventory is visible, see Make your Steam inventory public.
